Help with suspension lift

i have a 2002 F150 XLT FX4 and i want a 2" lift kit and i am looking at a
Rough Country
97-03 FORD F150 2.5 INCH SUSPENSION KIT W/SHOCKS and TYPE 6089 CHROME 17x8 - PRO COMP WHEEL with Extream mud terrain pro comp 265X70R17E (31X10.50R17) tires
My question to you is this why is that this 2" lift kit has a 1" block and others have a 2" block and (W/add a leaf) Do i need them?
Also should i use 285x70R 17 tires instead and what about the rim's size ?

yeah lifting a truck and then putting 265s on it is pointless. you can run 295's just by cranking the T-Bars a little...

Personally, I wouldnt waste $$ on a small lift like that. If it were me and I only wanted a small lift Id just get a 3" body lift.

If you're gonna spend $$ on a suspension lift I'd get something worth getting, like a 4".

If you're really just wanting to put a little bigger tire on it, just crank the tbars and slap the 295's on it.

do not buy the torsion bar keys, they allow you to put too much stress on your CV axles. do what JD said, just crank your stock bars.

I wouldnt lift it if you are only gettting the 285's. they would look small with the lift.

besides, you can run 285's without any lift.

I would also stay away from any procomp tires, i had a used set i got from a buddy and they didn't do too well and wore fast. The guys at my tire shop told me they didn't even sell procomp because of how bad they were.
