Yeah I'm going there. Finishing up this semester.

Most add a leafs will give you about 2" of lift. If you plan on adding a coil spacer when you install coils and control arms, you'll want about 5-6" of lift in the rear for it to be level. I only have a 3" block in the rear still from when I had just spindles and a spacer and my front is about 1.5" higher. If you only want just 1" extra in the back without changing the block look into lift shackles.

might just have to go with the 2" leaf from your experience then. my 33s are going to look so goofy lol. They still have lots of tread left so i can't just dump them lol

Yeah, you can actually fit 37's on this setup. So the 33's will look a tad small. Have you ever heard of the Horses in harmony animal rescue in Eustis? Gibson Truck World donates all of their take-off tires to them to sell to profit the animal shelter. They usually have tons of tires in the 33-38" range with tons of tread left for about $50 a tire. A friend of mine has been there and knows the people, he's suppose to be taking me in the next week or so for me to pick up a new set of tires. I'll let you know if it's a worthwhile thing or not. Seems pretty legit though.

Yeah i actually went out there one time but i really didn't look at tires. I'm probably going to get the lift, regear, and then get the 35-36s after my 33s go out. Just gonna look a little small for a while ha. And yeah just let me know what you find out there.

Those UCA's, can you take the ball joints out of those? or would you have to buy the whole arm again.

The ball joints bolt in, so they're replaceable. They take ball joints from a 99 chevy 1500, or you can order them from doestch for like 45 a piece if I remember right.

Not unless they came off a Chevy, otherwise they won't fit. The new ball joints for the aftermarket control arms have 4 bolts holding them in.

I seen the pic you posted in your winch thread. Do you drive that white single cab long bed with the black painted wheels? I see it at the college all the time.
