engine not firing wright

i have a 2002 f150 xlt 4x4 4.6 liter super cab with 103000 miles on it.My truck was running ok till i went through this puddle the other day it was early in the morning i did not see it was going about 30mph per hour after i ran through it now my engine is misfiring sort of feels like a timing issue. What would cause my truck not to run wright after that?
Thanks in advance,
Ralph

Got water on top of the motor , in the plug wells, and on the cops. You need to take compressed air and blow out the plug wells and dry the cops as best you can.

Right, and fix the lower wheel well skirt so it doesn't happen again.
