Thanks to all of you. I will get the 75-140w oil this weekend. I already have the gasket from Advance Auto along with black RTV. I am sure it will be black. How would you 'rinse' it before adding fresh oil? I used the word 'Rinse' just to clarify what I mean. What I am asking is if there is anyway to clean the black stuff besides wiping it good with a rag.

Thanks again

I used gas and cleaned my axle out. Just let it dry out before you add oil

We were laughing at the hard-headed lltoolj not "getting it" after being told repeated times by str8 that you don't need the modifier in an open diff, only to be topped off by his arguing over clutches in a LS.

LOL, Honestly, I was confused as well, because I also read elsewhere that modifier is only for LS type diffs. For a short period there, he had me convinced.

Thank You very much for clarification.

Many thanks to all of you for your quick and prompt responses. Without the help and guidence from this site, it would have been very expensive to do all the repairs I was able to do on my old truck. (From cruise control, dome ligth, speakers swap, water pump, and last Timing chain gasket replacement) are just a few of the projects I worked on during the last year or so alone.

I really appreciate you guy's help.

I don't have any of those on the net. So yea, no idea.

Might be a good idea to cover your keyboard before coming around here. I mean, - if your that much of a whinny baby, it could get expensive.

Since the OP got his problem fixed.... all I can say is... REALLY?? I mean, even if it were true, I would never admit it on the internet. C'Mon Man.. don't take it so personal. The way I personally work around the forum is like this: If I have no clue then I don't post. Let Another that does have the knowledge chime in. If I have some experience of an issue, I will post my thoughts. But I don't include a 100% guarantee to solve the issue and there are no refunds. Between us ALL we can usually nip it in the bud. Take a deeep breathe, and relax.
