If you mean your A/C, I don't think so. The entire dashboard needs to be dis-mounter and moved back to get at the plenum box though.

Not very much fun.
I did that too many times on my Mustang & T-Bird.

While your in there make sure to get a new blend door. It commonly breaks so while you got the whole dash ripped apart might as well. its a cheap part.

The cooling system is the radiator and the coolant which will need to be drained somewhat because the heater core hoses have antifreeze in them.

The manual says to have the A/C coolling system drained. I believe that was the question, not the engine coolant that runs through the core. I am thinking about doing this myself as well. Just go the est from Ford, $987 labor to get to it. Is it that bad? Manuarl doesn't say you have to take the whole days like cougar, mustang, tarus, etc.

The dash has to come out to get to the heater core.

I'd rather spend a whole day and do it myself than to give Ford a grand

I just did mine filling the how to on here. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but the how to is step by step and shows exactly which bolts to remove. Took maybe 5 hours. Well worth it considering the core and blend door are so cheap.
