Lightning Headlight Swap problem

Got the Lightning headlight and turn signals for Christmas, and I was wondering if anyone else who did this swap had issues getting the turn signals in. I ordered them from the company on eBay that was recommended on this forum, and when I try to install the turn signal, I can't get the bulb to turn far enough in the socket to allow the lens to slide all the way in place. Just wondering if anyone else that did this swap had this problem, and what the solution is.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

I'm positive I'm turning it the right way. It does turn some of the way, but it just won't go quite far enough to clear the housing.

Don't have any pics at the moment, as I had to put my originals back in (was doing all this at the in-laws). Gonna take another stab at it tomorrow in the daylight.

If I remeber correctly I had the same issue, and was able to rotate the plug 180 degrees.

I just got my L corners tonight as an early christmas present and I'm having the same exact problem. In the daylight tomorrow I'm going to try to notch the plastic casing on the plug and see if that works. I'll let you know what i figure out.

Buxton, I figured it out. You have to disconnect the plug so that you can pull the corner lens out with the bulb still in it. Then you turn the down towards the outside to get it out. Logic would tell you to turn it upwards. But when you put the bulb in the L Corner the same way you pulled out of the other one, it only takes a slight turn upwards to lock it in place.

I solved one problem, but found another. Now the Torx screw that goes back in to hold the lens in place doesn't fit the new L lens! It's like the threads don't match, or it's too fat or something. Tuhhhriffic

And I apologize if some of that doesn't make sense. Typed it on my iPhone, and I don't think I can edit the post on the mobile version of the forum

Well, mine are Eagle Eye. There was a post on here forever ago that had a link to some on eBay, and I just bought those same ones. I don't think any of them had a problem either. But I am no doubt having issues.

Just kidding. I didn't figure the 1st problem out. That only works for the passenger side. Still in the same boat on the driver side. As far as the screw goes, I was able to take the clip off the original an put it on my new lightnings, so that's solved. But now back to the original problem....

Well, it took some rigging, as in I had to tear off the piece of the light socket that stops it from rotating 360 degrees. Not ideal, but it worked, and now I got my lightning lights, and they look so much freakin better than the other ones I had.

Yeah, I had no problem with the passenger side. My issue was getting it to fit on the driver side. Also I had the same issue with the screws not fitting. I ended up just using some different screws that I had lying around.

Str8t, I'm unsure what brand mine are but I'd guess probably the exact same ones as the OP. My heads are Depo's and if it would have been me buying the corners, they would have been Depo's as well.

IIRC I had that same screw problem when I got my corners. I just changed the metal screw clip from oem corners and put them on the new ones
