I see many for sale (new) on Ebay do they do anything or not?

Motor is 2003 4.6

look up the "gotts mod" in the search bar and do that.

 

What he said^. It'll cost you like 10 dollars and perform just as good.

 

If your looking for any seat of the pants power improvement or gas mileage, it 'won't be with an intake mod.
The stock intake flows more than enough air.
You have to remember that the throttle plate in the throttle body controls air into the motor.
You can' get any more air by it no matter what intake system you put on.
At wide open throttle maybe a little more but I don't think you drive around at wide open throttle very much.
