03 F150 4.2 v6 trans question

Ok my buddy has a 03 F150 4.2 v6 and his over drive light blinks. It shifts good nothing seems wrong, except for the blinking light. Any one know what it might be/

Take it to a shop that has a OBD2 scanner that can read Ford transmission codes. That's the ONLY way to find out what it might be.
