Engine idle high after tune up?

Engine idle high after tune up?
I just tore apart the top end and cleaned everything and replaced plugs, filters etc. I also replaced the battery but now the engine at idle is around 1050-1100 rpm. Can't figure out why. My mpg dropped to 13.25 from 14.5 highway. Guess I was only running on a few cylinders. Any suggestions why idle so high and how to fix without going to the dealer. TIA
