Welcome to the Forum sir!! Great choice in truck!! I have nothing but Ford blood in me, then again I'm only 22 lol. My dad had a 1978 Thunderbird and a 1980 F150. Then he later bought a 2000 Ford Expedition and a 2001 F150 (which is now mine) Anyways, welcome and you should put some pics of you F150 up!

I use Amsoil in my transmission. If you you have the 4r70w you want to do everything you can to make them last. I've been told they arent that great of a transmission. The 4r100 is better but not many 99 f-150's got them.

Well--I have read through about all the tech articles that relate to my ride--I'm going to do the air intake mod as soon as the wife leaves for a day or so along with giving the throttlebody and idle control valve a good cleaning. From what I read on the air intake--there seems to be two of the little obstructions that need to be removed, one at the end ogf the intake that just snaps out and another on back up inside the air filter housing as well --is this correct?
