Pics of your head unit set up
Hey guys,
I've never been big on interior stuff the only mods I ever look at are lifts and big tires
But the time has come that I need something with an aux chord for my ipod. I notice head unit pieces seem to small (looking at them how their installed height wise) to fill the size of the stock one.
How and which set ups do you have, I dont need any thing crazy, the cheaper end just needs to have a few things to program radio stations and a aux to hook up the ipod
Thanks in advance

You have to get a kit to go with it...
Something like this (this may not be the correct one pictured but, just to give you an idea)

New unit mounts inside that hole, and the kit fills up the rest of the stock hole.

I have the same setup as Toyz' above photo, but with a Kenwood unit. My HU has a USB port on the right side and directly controls my Ipod. So I just plug in the USB cable to the port. and sit my Ipod in the cup holder where Toyz has his can of Red Bull

Here's my double din Pioneer Avh-P4300DVD

I used a wiring harness adapter plug, and soldered it to the new head unit, a 5 pin 30 amp relay for the dvd, to operate at all times, and an install kit, but for the life of me, I can't remember which brand. I had to trim some dash, but it was all behind the scenes. I also upgraded my door speakers to 3-way style ones, also Pioneer. It all took a few hours to install, but it was worth the effort.
Edit:Here's an old thread with some helpful info.
