Purchasing a double din
Alot of patience....
You need a wiring harness adapter to hook to the factory harness. I used one from Best BHA1771, and it was easy to do. In my truck I had to cut out a chunk of plastic in the back of the dash, as well as the black plastic factory bracket. I don't have a Dremel, so I used the blade from my reciprocating saw, and did it by hand. It worked well, and was easier to control when trimming inside the dash. Mine turned out OK, but I still need to find some kind of trim for the sides. The one that came with the dash kit I bought from Best bfmk552, didn't seem to fit for me,and the one from the h/u was no help either.
If your going with a video unit, you'll want to use a bypass to allow you to watch video without the parking brake. On mine, it was a simple 12v 30a 5pin relay.
