5.0 coyote swap in 97-03 f150?
Looks good to me....

Why would there be a lack of low end? Works just fine in the F150s...

But the way I see it, I like this bodystyle, and I like the new Coyote. I'd like to see what happens when you smash the two together. Of course a lightning swap makes more sense, and would be easier, but is practicality really the point of a swap like this?
Of course, take everything I say with a grain of salt. I think a 2JZ belongs in every car.

every single 4r70 equipped truck has zero drivability / power under 3500rpms
I think he means the truck will drive like a turd. Torque down low wouldn't be the issue for a tenth gen swap.

I think a Tremec Magnum XL in a 10th gen with a Coyote would be fun as hell.

Tranzilla plus high compression 5.0 in my 2001 F150 is the plan this summer. We'll see how far I get with it. I have the M5 and a 4.6L in her now, so the only issue I've come across so far is the trans cross member needing to be repositioned. Harness from 4.6 will work. Engine mounts the same. Transfer case will bolt up. Might have to build some new drive shafts... Think I have to do e fans, but that's easy (relatively speaking).
I won't do anything as nice as Built54's write up on his sleeper truck, but I'll try to get close.
