Whistling noise?

I have a 2001 f150 supercrew and there is like a whistling/echo noise coming from the front wheels, not sure which one. you can hear it really well when you are next to a building and the noise echoes off the building. I thought maybe a bearing issue but took it in and bearings were fine. Please help!!! Thanks

2wd or 4wd?

Have you checked the brake pads to make sure they aren't worn out and the scratchers contacting the rotors?

Hm.... sounds like a problem I had with my 2000 F150 4x4 Scab. After driving it for a few miles each morning, I would hear a whistling noise that sounded like it was coming from one of the front wheels. I had a mechanic check it out and he said, "No, that's not a wheel bearing. That's not the sound they make when they fail."

Well, over time the noise got louder, and would start sooner on warm days than on cold days. Driving down the road with a friend hanging out the passenger side window, we narrowed it down to the passenger side. I replaced the passenger side hub/bearing assembly and no more noise.
