I'm closing in on 300k on my 1997 F150 XLT. All original engine and transmission. Hoping mine can go to 500k! Mine still tows the boat and camper regularly.

I sold my 91 F250 a few years ago with 253,000 on it to a guy I work with.
He has since given it to his son and it's still going with over 300K on it.

The motor is all original, only a water pump and starter changed whe I owned it.
The trans was rebuilt at around 160K and the transfer case was replaced somewhere between 113 and 140K.

I sometimes wish I never sold it.
A 4.6 is a far cry from a 7.5 when towing....although I don't miss visiting every gas station in the western world....

I've seen two crazy high mile trucks on ebay in the past few years, one was a 98 F150 Lariat 4.6 xcab 2wd with a blown motor at a whopping 538k miles. Seller claimed the transmission was original too. Wish I saved the pics from that ad, stock Lariat interiors with 538k miles are nothing pretty.

The other was a 99 F250 xcab Super Duty with a 7.3/auto with 990k miles.

Update on: Sometime today I will hit 489,000 miles. There was a small shutter problem in the transmission a few months ago and changing the transmission fluid, not flushing, took care of it. I'm getting 4,000 miles to the gallon of oil....... about one quart every thousand miles. I'm getting 16 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the high way if I only go 60 mph.

Same here, well similar. 310,000 miles, no oil usage what so ever between changes. I only get 16 mpg highway, -that's IF i keep it at 60. I never seem to tho, - I only did to see what's possible with mine lol. I usually do between 70-80, - go with the flow of traffic and get 13 mpg, that's if I round upwards lol

I guess I jinxed myself. I hit 489,013 on Christmas day 2013 and lost third gear....It looks like it will cost $1,850.00 to have it replaced. That works out to $.003 per mile!
