Did you tighten the spark plugs to 28ft/lbs of torque?

Is 28 ft-lbs for all engines of F150? If so, source?

Did you do anything with the fuel rails or injectors?

Exactly what I was thinking. It was bumped and one of the o-rings lost it's seal.

Or, -reinstalled incorrectly.

Also the rail connections use a spring clamp that rusts out over time. My rail became disconnected @ about 55 mph. Pumped fuel all over the back of the motor and immediately shorted #8 coil. Make sure your spring connector at the rail is fully intact. I was lucky I didn't get blowed up. I made it back to the house using my boot laces to temporarily re-secure the line in place. Just in case it happens to you, in the middle of nowhere.

A very useful tip indeed. Thanks. Fuel pressure is about 40 psi. Isn't transmission line about the same pressure?

How do you explain fuel smell in exhaust?
