ahun98's 98 to 99+ bumper conversion

Well I have been wanting to do this for a while so I just went ahead and did. I ordered all the parts that I need but instead of the 2wd valance I went with the 4wd Valance with the fog lights and tow hook holes. When everything arrived today I found out that the valance that was supposed to be black was really tan... so I went down to the paint shop where I originally was going to paint the new grille surround white and paint the valance flat black. And the Upper bumper pad did not show up.... I got a email from the company that the part did not get shipped and they refunded me the money so I went to a different website and ordered it again and it should be here around saturday or monday. so I will be posting pics when everything is on and setup!!!

Keep us posted and take plenty of pics, I plan on doing this mod in the spring to my 97, also going with the 4x4 valence w/tow hooks & fogs. Unless I can somehow locate an STX one.

Good luck. Was the hardest thing ever to find an STX valance for my truck.

I also found the upper bumper pad at a junkyard for a grand price of $3.95!

Pics, OP!

Well I got everything put on (excluding the upper bumper pad, not in yet) It looks so much better even with the gap. I cant get any good pics of it right now because its too dark but I will tommorow.

That surround is beautiful!

Can't wait to see how this chrome/white/black pulls together.
