Definitely go with the gotts mod for intake, it'll cost you like 8 dollars and perform as good as any 150 dollar one. As for exhaust, nothing is really gonna make it sound good because it's a v6, anything you do is just gonna make it sound like a riced honda unfortunately.

Back to Black won't do squat for that grill. Use polishing compound. I brought mine back completely with Meguiar's 105.

Do a Gotts mod to the intake and if all you want is noise, put anything low restriction on the exhaust. It won't help performance at all. Edge is not a viable option for 97-03 due to the cable issue. I wouldn't waste the money on a programmer unless you want to pay for custom tunes - you would need a SCT device for that.

Alright we'll cross off the programmer I guess.

Next week I'll pick up some paint and do 'er up before bed, post progress pics and what not. I'll look into Gotts mod for the intake. As for a leaking exhaust, it causes less back pressure if I'm right and less low end torque?

Depends on where it's leaking and how bad.

I think the single best thing you can do to increase the power and gas mileage is put E-fans on it.

It's leaking right by the exhaust manifold, not the actual manifold but the connecting pipe coming from the rear end of the vehicle. I just fixed it on the passengers side at the same spot, it was horrible, sounded like a harley and had no *****, then it was fine and I got all the power back, felt like a new truck and revved it a bit too much when I was sea-foaming it before my engine flush and put the pipe out on the drivers side.

Before I did that you'd hardly touch the gas and she'd spin, now it's give or take whether I can break the tires free.

What are e-fans? The benefit of having a chip was the display, power and fuel economy increase a few of my friends have chipped their cars and it did wonders.

Electric fans. The engine-driven fan is heavy and creates a lot of drag.

You don't "chip" a Ford OBD2, you use a flash programmer.

I made a post about it in the chips and tuners section, take a look there. I've divided my work up into stages.

Stage 1: lighting
Stage 2: tint
Stage 3: performance
Stage 4: audio/visual
Stage 5: wheels/tires

I want Stage 5 to come for summer, round here rims wouldn't last a week, nice rims anyway haha

Well guys, I've been having some trouble with the drive belt, she's been screaming like you wouldn't believe and instead of just drowning it in belt conditioner I decided to figure out the actual cause of the problem. I've narrowed it down to a worn tensioner pulley and she needs a new belt, picking them up from NAPA tomorrow and putting them on Monday at school during my Automotive course, I'll post up after with some pics and let ya know how it turned out.
