LONG weekend of mods!! (lots O pics!)
i bought it off ebay.
im going to be running 8# of boost, i was debating on running 10# but didnt want to risk it in the cold winters up here.
i originally bought the eaton takoff for 600. but ive got alot more into it now with all the extra parts you need for it to work.
thanks guys!
i got some more things done today.
mounted my windshield washer reservoir. yes, its a flask, im a redneck LOL

and mounted up my heat exchanger. the PIAA valance exposes the whole thing, so cooling should not be a issue.

haha I love the flask! ya Im on 8lbs and the truck hauls man! the first time I drove it I about sh*t myself! Its funny though...I said I was totally happy, but now it almost feels normal to me and I want more...I think I getting the same sickness everyone on lightningrodder has! Thinking about bumping up to 10lbs and a custom tune from JJ this month
hey just saw you have a circle d 2400 stall converter...what do you think of it? did it make a big noticable difference? do you use your truck to tow much? Im debating on what to go with for a converter when I build my spare lightning 4r100 but I use the truck for towing and I didnt know how gearing & bigger tires would affect it...cant really compare to a lightning.
i really wanted to run 10# but dont want to blow my block during the winters.
i love the stall!! i dont tow any but when i talked to darrin, he said a 2400 would be fine for towing so im not concerned when i hook up to a trailer or a chevy for that matter
the truck accelerates faster and it just sounds better above 2K when accelerating. i wouldnt go above 2500 tho, you really cant tell its there when just driving around till you hit the gas.
