I was wanting to add one pillar gauage to my 02. I was wanting to do a tranny temp. Does anybody make a mount that keeps the OE grab handle? All the ones that I've seen all loose the handle.

I believe Autometer makes a single gauge pod which mounts to the A-pillar (you retain the original a-pillar cover and grab handle). I have no idea how clean they look when mounted.

Other options for a single gauge are a steering column pod, or mounting the gauge in the cover which surrounds the steering column (just right of the steering column).

I once blew the filter mount off my Mustang one day (that's a separate story...completely my fault and not a reason to fear remote oil filters). The first funny indication I noticed was rapidly and quickly fluxtuating oil presure...tell tale signs of loss of quantity. I didn't sexid guess anything...I immediate shut her down. Next I noticed the trail of oil on the road behind me which I did not notice before hand. Had I not had a gauge that day, odds are extremely likely I would have kept driving until the noise and what-not was apparent to make me shut it down, and in that case you would be correct in that the damage would have been done. But due to the gauge, it bought me SEVERAL critical seconds that day and no doubt saved me my motor. Just food for thought, not baggin on ya at all; but you know that!!
that also happened to me today. when i breaked going faster than 50mph my guage did the exact same thing. I checked the oil level it was fine until 3 hrs later when i checked it again and it went down. when i changed the oil only two quarts of oil came out. took the sending unit out and cleaned it and tightened it to specs. my guess is it burned up the oil because i didnt have any leaks. It saved me from destroying my engine.

You could do a dash pod if you are worried about keeping the handle.

It's actually a very recent picture...there are still Legacy jets flying around. I am one of very few, and the only guy in AMC dual certified to fly both AMP and Legacy!

I want to install a vacuum gauge in my F150. Does anyone have a recommendation for brand, type, etc.?
I prefer a 2 5/8, with good lighting - but i have no clue as to what brands are junk, or which are good. I've seen prices from $15 to well over a $100.

mounting recommendations would be nice as well.

thanks for your time.

Boost gauge
Air/Fuel gauge
Inlet Air Temp

But I'm going to be supercharged.
