Thanks man! I'm gonna try to get a quote on Friday to get it painted but it may be towards the end of the summer before I get it done. Trust me, I hate looking at it in my garage!

You know, last year I actually found local guys who paint vehicles on Craigslist. All were auto painters by trade but either do it from their small shop or home shop. Great prices and pleasantly surprised with the quality. I think I was quoted on avg $250-300 for the hood (full prep, several coats and clear coat). I ended up selling the hood before painting it but if I didn't, I would have gone to one of them (they all provided pictures of past work too).

Of course as with anything, careful out there as some may be scammers.

 

Yeah I'll see what my regular body shop guys have to say and go from there. I've seen those ads on craigs list before but couldn't tell if they were a scam or not.
