Then I guess I bought the wrong size motor. Back then I didn't know what the hell the difference was but I was hellbent on buying a truck. But really one of the advantages of the 4.2 is the cost of buying the truck in the first place. I still wish I got a V8 but it gets the job done for what I need it. Its not a heavy work truck.

Jeez we really derailed this thread

P.S. I really love smilies-especially the banana one.

Yea, the 5four is an up grade in every way. It does cost a little more, but you that much more truck. It is what it is.

Since we already derailed the thread-is your truck leveled or have a body kit or a/m suspension lift?

Yea, I swapped blocks and U-bolts. A 3" for the factory block to level it.

Thanks Ive been thinking about doing a body lift and then lowering shackles on the rear to level it out for a long time. I have yet to pull the trigger though.

No problem. Hate those body lifts tho. They show the frame and it's a PITA working on the engine when need be. I've never had one myself, just worked on plenty that have lol.

figured you'd say that but it would be worth it if it looks good and Im going to be getting step bars to help cover the frame on the sides. It will all be done in one weekend because I hate unfinished crap. I certainly aint puttin no six inch sky jacker either. Its a 2wd for gods sakes haha

Well I might look into that to not have to deal with the frame showin up and all that crap. It will be pricier though I know that.

Yeah lookin at eight hundred twenty bucks for a fabtech 3.5" lift kit.

I guess thats not too bad considering it could level it out with a 2 inch block.

@OP sorry about your thread

Well for the price it looks like it has all the right stuff for the fabtech kit. Looks like there is a Rough country 3 inch spindle lift kit that comes with shocks and blocks for only 439.95 That looks awful cheap am I missing something? The only other concern with the rough country is it doesn't have the alignment cam kit that the fabtech comes with. Here is the page Im lookin at.
