Cylinder 4 misfire

I have a 97 f150 with the 5.4 and I have a misfire on cylinder 4. I have new spark plugs and I checked for coolant leaking on top of my cop and I didnt see any. I pulled my cop out and the end of the boot is melted. It also looks like I might have a small head gasket leak near cylinder 4. Would the head gasket leak cause the cylinder to misfire and melt the boot on the coil?

Thanks,
ccdline73

Being that the plug is in the head and the gasket is below that plain... there wont be any coolant in the plug well from a HG. Replace the COP

Intake manifold gasket leak could easily be confused with a HG. Youll need to determine where the coolant is coming from

I'll check out the plug again tonight but I checked the heater hose before and there wasn't anything leaking from it
