rear wheel bearing

rear wheel bearing

i have jsut ordered some rotors for my rear 2003 f150 and just wondering if there is a bearing on the rear like the front hub assembly for the front ? i just replaced my frotn hub assembly and rotors with new pads yesterday and and still shakes my wheel when i apply the brakes

Did you replace the calipers? probably should have done that. Thats likely the source of that vibration. There is an axle rear wheel bearing have to take the cover off the differential housing remove the clips that hold the axels in and slide the axles out. then you can replace the bearings..

I have a '03 2WD V6 and just went through brake vibrations and brake lock-ups. Not sure if it is what you are experiencing. I had vibrations on the highway at different speeds, the brakes constantly rubbing and a feeling like the engine was fighting something during city driving.

My brake fluid had turned black & I flush it every couple of years. The 5 rubber brake lines on my truck had started to fall apart on the inside and would also collapse locking the fluid in the caliper.

Long story short I replaced all 5 lines and a front caliper since it was stuck and would not push back in.

A couple of years ago my parking brake also had locked up. I would check on this while you have the rear apart:
