Well to make it a nice show truck maybe lay frame and body drop it on 26"s than build a blown 5.4 motor in it custom paint, interior, yada, yada lol depends how much you want to spend. My one friends truck had over 100,000 dollars into it and it still wasnt done some people just go crazy...either way you need to roll on some aftermarket rims and lower it to start showing imo...

I'd consider tinting the tails, and anything faded on your truck I'd restore to black. Do you have somewhat of a theme you wanna go with? Chrome, blacked out, change the color completely?

You should remove the stickers and pinstripe you could also paint the parts under the hood gloss black that would look good like the intake tube etc... but new rims and tires lowering kit etc will look good and some tint also.

Look through that, while his truck isn't black its probably one of the nicest lowered trucks I've ever seen so it could give you some ideas.

Go to some shows and look for trucks similar to yours. When you find what you like you'll have an idea of what it's going to take.
