a/c pressure question

i have a 98 f150 xlt v8 4.6l and im looking to recharge my a/c does anyone know what the low side max pressure should be?

60 psi sounds close to me to there is only the low pressure side that is measured. Most recharge kits come with basic instructions and so do Haynes/Chiltons books..

Get a real set of manifold gauges.

Trying to charge an AC system accurately with only a low-side gauge is like trying to watch a 3-D movie with only one eye.

You really need a set of guages so you can check hi side as well. But about some where between 35-45 low side and around 250-300 high side will be nice and cold

There are to many variables possible for that statement to cover all possibilities.
