Retired from service

This is my new-to-me 2000 F-150 XL short/long. It lead a bit of a rough life as a work truck for various companies but now its in my hands to live a retired life as a daily driver. Sporting a V6 and a 5-speed and only 166k kms, it still has a lot of life left in it!

It needs a little bit of body work and a couple odds and ends but otherwise its in pretty good shape. The seller ended up dropping the price a bit because the fuel tank started leaking from the fill tube but I managed to get it patched up and should do for a while until I get a new tank. It took me about five hours to clean out the interior; man, was it ever filthy! There was literally a 2" thick layer of dirt under the door sills.

Future plans include chrome XLT mirrors, tonneau cover, STX or Harley grille insert, Heritage or Harley edition headlights, Super Duty tail lights etc etc...

I'm working this week in an old warehouse that is being tore down next month and couldn't resist the opportunity to do a quick photoshoot. The truck is a bit dirty and still had rain drops from a coffee run, but oh well.

I would love to lower it, but for the foreseeable future its not practical. So far this truck has spent half its life in my possession on various site access roads that would destroy a lowered truck.
