Pretty easy swap you just need to tap four holes. Are you going to get a center console too?

Im asking the OP or anyone who is listening. lol I think Ive decided not to put the center console in after getting buckets because I like the extra space. It sure makes the truck feel roomier without center console. I wish I would have done a write up on my seat swap but its so straight forward its not really necessary.

Basically unbolt the buckets from the donor truck if applicable(four bolts)
Unhook the plug that goes from the floor to the seat if applicable
Take out your bench seat or 60/40 bench basically the same just remove the bolts and plug.
If going from bench to bucket you will have to tap some holes.

So....question on this topic.....what other seats fit the 97-03 trucks?

I've seen some people say that explorer and expedition seats do...but what years will fit????

I have a regular cab with a 60/40 seats and want to go with buckets and a console...

I am not a fan of any seats that Ford puts in there truck except the lightning leather seats thats why i put the GTP seats in mine. Lightning seats are hard to find and if you DO find em, they are expensive. I paid $75 for both my seats in mint shape.

I would just go to the junkyard and try to find a truck like yours that has buckets. Look at your seatmounts and remember what they look like. Check out some expeditions and look at the seat mounts and try to determine if they fit. I walked around the junkyard for about an hour and found the seats I wanted. I may get them reupholstered to match my truck and repair some of the cushioning.
