Yes- you can replace the cluster (99+ PATS require dealer programming fee) with an OEM one, or if you like the huge 8" style with the shift light that reads to 12K, you can wire them into one of the pins behind the dash. I've seen it listed before so just search the site for a little while and you'll be bound to find it.
In 99-04 trucks there are only two connectors behind the dash: C220a and C220b. There is no dedicated pin for tachometer in these connectors. The tacho, speed, voltage, temp etc info is carried on data stream (SCP Bus) which is then decoded by cluster and shown in cauges.
