Ok the solenoid is good. Can any one tell me what is all next to it. That is where my click is coming from.

It depends. It's to hard to say when you don't tell anyone what year and model it is. Some are different. Try filling your info in top right corner like MOST everyone else does.

Alright when I jump the solenoid the starter don't do a thing. Doesn't even act like it wants to roll over. Could this mean my starter is bad?

Well, I had the same thought yesterday. I came out of the pizza shop to head home with a pie, and it went "click," and nothing more (not even a headlight dimming). After a few key hits, it started, and I drove it home. When I got in the driveway, and tried again, it clicked, then started one more time after a few hits. This morning, it started 5 times in a row, but I decided with 230K on a '99, maybe a new starter would be a good idea.

I went to disconnect the wires from the starter in prep for removal, and the positive battery lead literally fell off. The terminal had broken to the point that it was "hanging by a thread." I replaced the hot cable to the starter, and all is good. (I connected it to the lower terminal of the solenoid, but.....

NOTE: The factory wire on bottom terminal of the firewall solenoid is NOT the wire that goes to the starter (It comes directly from the battery), so DON'T cut the terminal off on that end. DAMHIK.

Thought this might be one more ting for you to check.

Andy
