For tweeters there's a thread about three down from this called progress thread he did a good job mounting the tweeters. Alot of people will also put them in that little triangle peice of door trim that covers the side mirror bolts. Hope this helps man!

only thing you have to watch out for is spark plugs flying out of your engine

Up in the menu bar, click on "Search" then type in "spark plug blowout". Lots of good reading.

Yea, they'll go for along time, if you take care of them. The heads have never been off this engine, doesn't use oil between changes yet and still using the original trans (E4OD/4R100). It can also get up to 60 mph in about 7 or 8 seconds. Pretty damn good for engine over a quarter million miles.

It's a Ford.

Bird... I have my mids/tweets mounted on the door panels just in front of the door handle. I can post a pic on Saturday when I get home if ya want.

migdaddy... I don't think anyone was offended on your mileage opinion. Just messin' with ya. I can safely say though I have well over $1k spent in mine since I got it and not done yet

Bird..... pics of my mids/tweets. I was seriously hesitant about cutting a hole in my door panel (for the mid magnet to go through) but in the end I was/am glad I did. Looks pretty good and sounds great where they are

103,000? Thats a baby! Hell-I Procharged mine at like 168k and I have 196k now . Since then I have blown the tranny (191k) and thats because I broke the tailshaft rear seal or something like that. Thats what I was told anyways. Other than that, the only things I have EVER had to replace are spark plugs, belts, and hoses. I am on my second battery since 98, and the A/C has never been serviced(still ice cold). Absolutely ZERO rust, and for a 98 the paint isn't looking too bad either. You have definitely got some miles to go, and little to worry about if that truck was taken care of.
