Talking New to forums, comments? Suggestions?

I have been reading these forums and was interested in what yall would think about my f150 and if you had any suggestions for me.
1998 F150 4.6 v8 2wd. 2" leveling kit. 118K miles. Mastercraft A/T2 245/75R16 () Flowmaster 44 turndown exhaust (Sounds amazing with the 4.6 IMO guy did a stand up job with it.) Custom headache rack, 8ft stainless steel whip for my cb (only pictured in first pic) and might be some other things im forgetting.. Recently had to do alot of front end sus. work on it (Hate the UCA/Ball joint situation..) anyways let me know what yall think or suggest what i should do next with the truck.

***I know the headache rack is too tall in one of these pics, I have since taken it off and cut it down to just barely above the cab.. of course the tines still stick up, tho.***

Ill start. Lightning heads/corners. PTM Grille surround with a black billet or mesh grille. XLT side mirrors PTM, PTM door handles, emblems, wheels and tires. This is pretty cheap. WHeels and tires you could pick up used from craigslist. I would stuff some 33s on there with some offroad wheels. Check out Raptor's truck. His is almost if not identical to yours and he made his look damn good. Yours is 1 step ahead though with the V8

I would work my way from front to back. Ebay has billet grilles and white surrounds. Ebay also has lightning headlights and corners. Ebay also has XLT mirrors that are white. Ebay also has emblems. (You could go with 04-08 emblems) You can take the handles off and paint them with krylon fusion and some clear coat. If you wanted to you could also do a seat swap and put in bucket seats with a floor center console. Start with that. Ask questions if you need anything. Ebay and craigslist are where its at for parts for cheap. Check the classified on here too for items you might want.

Also, would the stock grille surround be paintable? Would the paint hold up good on that stock crome-ish crap?

Yes and IMHO they look a lot better. You can paint your chrome surround if you don't want to buy a white one. migdaddy laid out a lot of the simple mods that really clean up our style trucks. If you wanted to you could also paint your bed caps black to get rid of the faded grey

I believe fairliner has done his surround and its held up well. I have written a how to on how to paint the plastics to make the paint last if you want that. There's a how to on here to remove your surround and grill if you want me to post that

So far I am planning on painting the door handles white and do the Gotts mod (I think thats what it is called?) Unfortunately, It will be atleast till the end of the summer until i get new tires because I bought these about 2 or 3 months ago and I want to wear them down. After that I am planning on Interco M16 32's or Federal Couragia M/Ts. How do you guys think the center(black) part of the grille would look if painted white with the chrome surround? I have a can of white plastic paint and I can't decide what to paint first.

IMHO, chrome shouldn't touch chrome. I would do the inside as black and the surround as white, but I'm a little biased

You don't have to tune it after the gotts mod, just unplug the negative side of the battery for like 10 minutes. There's a how to on here somewhere ha. Definitely do something about the grille. Also the bedcaps and the rear window trim would look nice if it was redone black. As for mirrors I have my old xlt set sitting in my garage that have the chrome covers but you could paint if you'd be interested, drop me a pm about those.

You can make an XL look a lot better for very little money ... check my gallery for some pics of what I've done to mine.
