I actually almost went with knuknoceptz wire but when I finally get around to buying some kicker amps it extends the warranty by running a kicker wiring kit. Also when it comes down to it the kicker is only about 20 more because of shipping. I saw a picture of them compared and the kicker wire is a bit bigger.

Dudewith4x4.... just caught this thread and read through it. Great looking truck man I thought the 4 subs were a little excessive though. As far as the Mamma Tried sticker, I first thought of (one of my favorite bands) Lynyrd Skynyrd but I know the Hank tune also. I would relate the Momma Tried and the Confederate stuff to Skynyrd before H.W. but whatever.

Anyways, great job on the truck so far Now spend a little time on spelling

Thanks for the compliments man! I didnt know lynyrd skynyrd and Hank sang Momma tried also? I was refering to Merle Haggard when I put it on there, I think he was the orginal to sing it. Its ironic that you mentioned Lynyrd Skynyrd because this weekend Im driving my truck to a Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZtop concert this weekend

As for the spelling you would think that since I just graduated I would have spelling fresh on my mind still but I guess I rush to much:P

Great choice on the Alpine radio. I have the sam one except it lights up blue. Now you need to get satellite radio. I got mine a month ago and I love it, will never here those stupid dealership commercials again.

My bad I meant to put Merle and was thinking Hank. Skynyrd has a song that includes the words Momma Tried. Not sure of the actual song title off hand but I could refer to my Ipod if need be.

Have fun at the concert

Well first off Lynyrd Skynyrd and Zztop was amazing to say the least. I can now say I heard freebird live in concert. My dad and his freinds used my truck for the before party in the parking area and I had some people come up and compliment my truck with made me pretty happy.

Time for a small update. I got my Stinger SVMR in today and installed it with the help of my girlfreind who handed me crimpers and zip-ties all night and was very patient with me.

I orginally wanted to put it under the cup holder in the ash tray (pictured) but I couldnt get it to fit so I could see the whole display.

For lack of a better place to put it, I ended up putting it here. If anyone has ANY of suggestions on where to put it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is a little teaser of whats to come.

Kicker ZX1000.1-1000watt RMS at 2ohms and it will be replacing the two Kenwood KAC-7204s that I am using right now. I also got the end caps that go on it so it'll look a little cleaner. I also heard that kicker underates all of their amps so I'm hoping that my amp will be about 1200watt RMS.

Kicker 09PKD1- 1/0 guage dual amp kit

Also I'm wanting to redo my amp rack so if anyone has better ideas than mine please say!

Have a great memorial day everyone!

Ahh. No love for the voltage meter? lol

Well sorry I have been gone everyone. Summer is a busy time when you live on a large farm. I did get my wiring kit and ZX1000.1 in. My birthsheet was 1164 RMS. I had it for a total of three days and then it started messing up. Everytime my volume would be over half way it would shut off. I called VMinovations while at work and they said they would send a return address to my moms email so she sent it for me the next day. I called them back later and asked them if I could just go ahead and get a ZX1500.1 instead of the 1000.1 so I paid the 120 dollars and its on its way :P

I also got a new amp for my door speakers. A Kicker ZX350.4 ..460 some RMS. Anyway. I redid the amp rack and did a few things. Will post some pictures when I get the 1500.1.

Back in the shop:

Woopss. Stash. lol

Hooked this amp up so I would still have some speakers.

Really weird seeing this empty..

What I took out:

How big this box really is.

Lets start with the new amp:

Amp off:

Amp on:

Side of the amp. I tried to make the wiring look clean.

Kicker wiring kit fuse holder:

Distrubition block. Whats that red thing in the corner of th picture you ask?

The kicker sign my girl made me and Layla that I made. Its made out of 1/4 plywood wrapped in red felt and black carpet cut and glue on top.

Here is the full view. Bear in mind the ZX1500.1 isnt here but according to fed-ex it may be here tomorrow.

As always, Comments and critism is welcome.

Yes sir. lol. Being 18 all my freinds where always like "Lets take your truck, It has a backseat so we can all fit in there." With all my freinds being over 6' I would have to have my seats moved forward all the time and I used alot of gas so I figured why not just take up the backseat?
