First of all I love crutchfeild for making this radio cheap and giving all the extras with it. They gave me a dash kit, Wiring harness made for just the f150s and a ipod cable for free.

Well Got my wiring harness done in these pictures. I was tryin to do a cleaner job than last time. Here are the Comparative pictures of my older and newer radios. The main reason I bought the alpine was the 3 sets of sub Pre-amp line outs. (front,rear,and sub) My JVC radio only had the subwoofer line out so I had to use a line out converter witch really didnt have the best sound in my opinoin. Guess thats what I get with a walmart line out converter though

Well as most of you know the Alpine radios have the USB drive on the back and after my first time of taking the radio out to put in my flash-drive I was sick of this, So since I got a free dash kit with the radio I decided to try something..

How'd you do that cig lighter cover?

 

I used the ipod cord that came with my alpine deck, same one as yours and ran it to that little tray under the pop out cup holder. Just an idea if you have a usb extension cord and get tired of it up there. But its looking good man!

 

Fordfx4guy- I bought a glass bottle of coke from the store after seeing my girlfreinds moms coke bottle and took the cap off and super glued it on the cig-lighter. I got the idea from an online chevy forum where a guy put a beer bottle top on his.

Pizzaman711- I was orginally planning on putting it there since my head unit came with the extension cord, but then I decided that I would like it there better since I dont have a Ipod anymore and I wanted easy acesess for the thumb drive since I take it out and use it for school still.

 

Truck is looking great man.

A few suggestions though. One is pop open the fog lights and paint the chrome black, or even smoke em out like you did your headlights.

Also PLEASE fix your grille where you didnt paint it around the edges.... Grille Painting 97-03's

Bigtruckguy-Thanks for the suggestions man man I do need to tint them but my last day of vo-tech was last week so Inless I do them this summer I dont know when Ill get to do it. I do need to do something about them though. You don't like the silver stripe around the grille? I masked that part off on purpose cause I liked it. lol

EDIT- Thanks for the links by the way, I could not for the life of my figure out how to take it off. I may do some spray on bedliner on the whole grille. How would that look? Also I am thinking a patman grille would be cool to try and make.

ya thats the link i used when i painted mine. i painted it a year and a half ago and still looks as good as when i first did it. its real easy to take it off.
Patmans are pretty cool. ive got emblem lays so i think mines fine with the emblem.

 

I think I may order these and paint them. I really think they would look good with my Hellas.

Haha dang that was a quick turn around on the subs ha just male sure you build your box to specs. But I'm gonna warn you that box is gonna be freaking huge haha

 

Lol I've always been that way lol. I may not sell them I just put them out there cause I would diffenatly sell them for 700. I just helped a freinds buy a 15 CVX so Ill listen to his after I build him a box and see if I like it. I have to wait till tomorrow to buy the stinger voltage meter but with some Graduation money Im also gonna buy this:

Yea that's some good wire! Haha but for mine I just went with a $70 scorshe kit or something like that, never had a problem with it running my amp at 1 ohm. But I figured if I managed to burn that wire out Id just run some welding wire before I paid 200 for some name brand stuff ha

 

Go with some KnuKonceptz stuff for wire. More affordable, same if not better quality
