my new seats

I had originally done my expy seat / console swap last spring. The seats weren't the best, but they worked. Came across a great set on craigslist, and it looks so much better. Really happy with them.

Nope. The rear seats are cloth, so it all matches perfectly now. I'm in love with these seats. Really comfortable.

Oh nice, I am a leather kinda guy myself. Although, the interior of your truck is nice as-is. I always envy the guys with the expy center console, but I refuse to cut up a perfectly good lightning bench.

Do you remember what size taps you needed for the holes, or did they automatically fit?

expy seat and console swap

Follow this write up. There are some pics missing, but about halfway through you will find all the detail you will need regarding tap sizes. This is what I went by when i did mine. Have fun, I love mine.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, jump.

So all that is necessary for the expy swap? It's not just tap a few holes and a simple swap? I'm torn between doing the expy buckets, or getting a 60/40 bench. I've found both for good prices

Not all of that is necessary. If you have the expy seats and console, it's really straightforward. You can ignore the first part of that link with his seat frame changes and all that. There are only two holes to tap if going from a 60/40 to buckets. There's a ton of info on that link. Just sort out what you have, what you feel you can do, and give it a try. What seat do you have now?

I dig those over the expy seats. I've had leather and honestly find more comfort in the cloth seats. And the design is much cleaner vs the fluid leather look. Looks good. Those out of like an 02?

Need to fix your sig now

Jump n, I currently have the basic vinyl bench, but I'm trying to decide whether to do the Expy swap or get a 60/40 bench. That's why I have so many questions about the Expy seats, because it'll be a little more work with wiring the power driver side (all they have at the junkyard), and if that extra work is worth it for the buckets over 60/40 split.
