help with fog lamps

Exclamation help with fog lamps

hey guys new to the form glad to be here my 97 f150 is a base model plan jane but im doing stuff to it like chrome bumpers found 1 and put it on and it has fog lights on it thought i was going to have to run them off a toggle switch but it has the plugs for it pluged them in and they dont work switch in the cab u can pull and still wont come on anybody got any ideas please let me know thanks

Check the underhood diagnostic box for a relay in the fog lamp spot. I believe its #5 I believe but check your owners manual to be sure. You also have to have the "pull for fogs" switch as well.

yeah any of the switches will "pull" up...but it has to be the one that has the fog lamp label on it......you can get em off ebay or find one in a junk yard....its really easy to take off

Make sure you have the small gray plug (plug on the right in the pic below) to plug into your light switch.

All '97-'99 light switch ***** pull out (it's part of the switch removal process), but only the switches marked "Pull for Fog" are wired for fog lights.

When you get a new light switch, make sure you get one from a '97-'99. The '00-'03 switches are different (although they look very similar), and won't work on your '97.
