Radiator support

Has anyone had to replace the radiator support on a 2000 F 150 SC? Was it a lot of work? Is a very rusty one a safety concern?

I'm interested also. I just picked up a project that was hit in the front and the core support is mangled pretty bad. I already got the new one but I'm not looking forward to having to cut out the old one and swap in the new one.

Anything to make sure happens or doesn't happen?

Just bought new rad support today. Hefty piece of metal. My nephew is going to install on the weekend. Looks like the bulk of the work will be removing and re-installing everything that hangs off it.
