I have an '01 F150 SC that had air shocks on it when I bought it. I have not every towed with the truck, but recently I have been using the truck to pull a trailer loaded with materials for remodeling one of our rental houses. I have been airing up the shocks to level the truck. I was told that this is not good on these trucks cause the shock mounts are not strong enough to support weight. Is there any truth to this??

I wouldn't trust 'em... They were never designed to carry a load... Just hold the shocks in place for the most part..

JMO on it however....
