I still think these are better looking than the NBS. Never regretted paying cash for mine when I had the option to put 10k down on a new truck but decided to buy a used F150. Even after selling my first one with the intention of putting that money down on a newer truck, I bought another 99 5.4. Did tons of shopping and research and ended up back in a 99, where I'm still happy. It's a paid for investment, reliable and enjoyable. It does what I bought it for. I don't see, even if the finances allowed, dumping 50k on a new truck. If I ever get into the eco boost or anything else, it will be years old and over half off by the time I see it. Find a nice one that was well cared for in the right price range.

Needless to say the owner of the company wasn't happy.
I think they said right at the end that the greenhorn driver parked it in 1st gear (stick) and didn't use the E-brake or cut the wheels.

I think the 97-03 F150's are the best body style ever made ...from any make....just smooth and clean looking.....i would love to have a new raptor but it would be like getting a new benelli shotgun...i couldnt and wouldnt want to take it hunting... im good with my remington....something i can use everyday and drag through the deer woods...looks good and reliable..just like the 97-03 f150's

I know you do, but I think I'm going to go with a totaled lightning doner (04 preferably), stage 2 or 3 heads, cams and have a spare trans built on the side. That's the cheapest route for what I want to accomplish and I should get some longevity out of it that way. Did I say cheap ? Nothings cheap, just cheaper lol. I want the interior as well.

The '04+ F-150's just don't do it for me ... no plans of getting rid of my '99 anytime soon.

I made a decision a long time ago to have a simple as possible life. It's possible to have a good life w/o having all the latest and greatest ...

My 98 is here to stay, I'm not a fan of the 04 body style either. Unless your talking Lightning. The 04 Lightning kept the older Body style.

I've had a lot of chances to drive my father's 09 fx4 screw. Its a really nice truck but I don't feel like I'm driving a truck, more like a luxury car. And I don't really like that. I like my trucks to feel stiff and ride like something built with more of a purpose than to just haul people around.

Plus I like my 03 because I like my vehicles like I like my women...curvy

I like mine because it's paid for! And it runs like a champ. First time in about 16 years i have not had a car payment and loving every month of it. Plus, i would never buy a brand new vehicle again. You take too much of a hit once you leave the dealership.. bought my 2002 one year old with a little over 16,000 miles...i have 143,000 miles right now and no problems, i take it on 10 hour road trips from Knoxville to Tampa 5-6 times a year..
