I need to replace my muffler..question?

My truck is completly stock, what kind of muffler would you reccomend? I don't want it to sound loud, can I still get a magnflow that won't sound too loud? Or would you reccomend something else? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank-you.

Well to start off, are you looking at a straight through muffler or chambered like a flowmaster? I have an MBRP and its very deep. Are you looking at dual or single outlet like the factory system? Youtube has a good selection of exhaust systems to hear. Thats how I ended up choosing mine. Would you be just getting a catback or would you want to build your own system from a shop? Some have an x or h intermediate pipe which gives it more of a distinct sound. You can get a 12 or 14in. magnaflow.

50 series (3 chamber) flowmasters are nice and quiet with more exhaust flow

No dual exhaust just replacing the stock muffler, I guess what I'm getting at is,Is a Maganflow better than what I have and does it makes sense to do it?

Sure is. You'll have a nice rumble at idle and it will be quiet at cruising speeds.
