Holy crap $90 for a plastic piece with holes in it?

The light in my headlight switch is burnt out and I've been thinking of replacing it with a switch that has autolamps, since it seems like an easy upgrade after looking into it. I can get the switch from Amazon for $70 and and the light sensor from Ford for about $60, but Ford wants $90 for the dash panel and I can't find it anywhere else..anyone know where I can get one cheaper?

What dash panel are you referring to?

Refuse to use? I think it would be a nice upgrade. My truck is a 2002, I'll give you a decent price if you ship it. What is the color?

Sorry man, if i had one that wasnt attached the PM woulda already gone out because that price ford wants is uncalled for.

but yea, i refuse to use the auto lamp.... i like to be in contol... not my truck im not even sure why.

do you have a picture of which pannel it is?

Mine is grey also, but I'm not sure which piece it is..I'm guessing it's the panel on top that has a curve in it.

Lol I think it's the surfboard piece, it's the only part of the dashboard that looks like it's removeable on top.

I screwed mine up the first time , attempting that fog or driving lights mod. I found the entire switch w/dash plate on ebay. Might want to try there. Can't recall what I paid exactly, just that shipping was more than the part.

It took awhile for me to figure out what you meant by fog or driving lights mod..I'm guessing you mean altering the switch so that the fog lights will turn on without headlights? I looked on e-bay and amazon, maybe I used the wrong words in the searches. I typed in dash panel instead of plate, I'll give that a try.

I just tried that on e-bay and amazon, and called the junk yards. It seems like not many f-150s came with that option.
