Well, if it blows, the dealer will charge you to replace the harness and the failed switch as Ford's responsibility ended with the installation of the fused harness.
The full recall kit, consisting of the switch and harness, costs about $20 at the dealer's parts counter and takes 5-10 minutes to replace.
If you can't do that simple repair, then, by all means, take it it.

With mine, I didn't know it was fuse at first. After I had a chance to check out, they had a bunch of tape wrapped around it. Got rid of the tape and that revealed the fuse holder and a 10 mini fuse I believe.
I figured there was other reasons, other than just that.
I guess it does make sense tho. The fuse will most likely blow from bad switch. So replacing just the fuse isn't recommended, safety wise.
