Too Good To Be True ??
Hey guys, I was just flippin' through some local craigslist areas and found this:
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/2209900802.html
So I emailed him to find out if the price was correct. Here is the response I got:
I think I could get $1000 - $1500 for the plow itself, and double down on the truck. What do ya's think?

Hi,
I appreciate your interest regarding my Ford F-150. I will sell it for $2,900. The price includes shipping and insurance to your address. The truck has only 94,006 miles and it is in perfect condition. It has never been involved in an accident, it was always garage kept, it has always been professionally serviced, using only original parts and accessories. All the service records are available and they will be delivered with it.
I want to close this deal through eBay Buyer Protection program.
Looking forward to do business with you.
Thanks!

Ain't that a b**ch
and so the saying still holds true.... If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Notice on the Londonderry dealership the price of $10k, which is more like it.
Thanks guys for quickly busting my bubble

Next time, fyi, you can just google search the title and it will pop up in like every city on Craigslist. That's how I found that link. Or if the ads have email addresses, search those too.

still a newbie for the craigs deal. Didn't even think of the Google. Lesson learned
Also, for being a Harley.... doesn't it have the wrong headlights?
It doesn't even have harley interior. Looks like a 7700 XL with harley badges. Anytime there is a description box like that on craigslist and an extremely low price it's usually a scam.
i get at least one person a day trying to scam me. Ive been trying to sell a simple tv entertainment center. i get cashier check this....money order that...blah blah blah. what dont you understand about CASH ONLY!!! no im not going to ship it to you!
stumbled across the same thing with a classic Bronco. She won it in the divorce blah blah blah. Had to use the Ebay payment system. The funny thing is she told me the Bronco was in GA. Just so happens the company I work for had a project going in that town. I said our Superintendent would come to look the vehicle over.
Not possible was the response. I laughed.
Google the email address and I bet you get a dozen or more CL listings with it across the country.

yeah ive got my 4X4 4R70W on craigs right now, first responce was a guy offering to pay $30 over and pay for shipping, and that he would send a cashiers check. laughed and told him to get a real job and stop being a lowlife
People like that **** me off.
I've got my project dirt bike for $300 on craigslist and I keep getting scammers tell me they will send someone to pick it up. Actually had one today ask if a certain post was mine as a verification and when I clicked on it the page went to a "new" craigslist log in (red flag went up for me). I was using someone else's computer with firefox and it gave me a warning that it was a fraudulent website. As soon as I got home I downloaded firefox because IE never even warned me about it.
They are lucky I can't get their address, otherwise I'd iron out people like that in less time than it takes to drive over there.
