well i got my engine my dad gave it to me (he was going to destroke his 6.0 than mom got word of it) well this build might start sooner than i thought i already have another truck ive been driving to school (my dad signed the loan so i got a 2005 2500 quad cab
4x4 cummins but i still have to pay for it) so i dont have to worry about not having transportation now all i really need to get started is a dually rear end dana 60 front
6 speed trans and performance parts so this might start late this year or early next year

That Dana 60 front end will probably cost ya a pretty penny. I know there was one going for about $1500 on pirate4x4 completely built but still needed a few end parts. If you don't mind me asking, what job do you have in high school that funds this project and payments on a truck?

well i work for my parents after school for $9/hr and i work from 3 to 12 during school and 7 to 7 saturday and sunday and the payments on my truck are $450 insurance is $280 and diesel cost like $400 a month so that leaves me with about $1000 and they just gave me these hours last week oh then i got to pay uncle sam so i get like $750 or so and i havent made up my mind on gettin an old 80's chevy crew cab and putting that in it and it still wont be until next year until i start on this project and sometimes i dont make that much cause i get called in basically everyday but i still miss like 3 to 5 days so thats why itll still take me a while

Well It's been awhile since I've really been on here.. Life got in the way. Well my stout 5.4 setup has decided to start knocking on heaven's door.. In the next couple weeks the tear down will begin. The trusty 5.4 has been going for 4 yrs and 100k miles pushing 10.5-11:1 CR on crappy 93 and some aggressive tuning fine. But recently pulling a 8k lb trailer she popped a head gasket. No coolant in oil yet, but a compression leak between cylinders 2 and 3. Its leaking into the cooling passage. So I have to add water about every 150miles..

The 4bt is assembled and sitting on a engine pallet. I have alot of fab work coming up.. I will be having a local fabrication/ race shop doing all of the exhaust and intercooler piping. Fuel wise is being taken care off a 1600cc p-pump, and 100hp nozzles on 370cc marine injectors. turbo wise is a HY35 from a 04 CR 5.9, and a HX40.

With the help of my dad, who is a Electrical design engineer we have built a conversion box. This box will take the crank shaft signal as a input and output a crank shaft signal, and cam shaft signal for the pcm. It will also modulate a firing order for the coils. So there will be a few codes as the beginning. But after talking with a SCT tuner 90% of my concerns can be turned off...
