mpg/lowering

Hey all,
I was wondering if lowering my 2wd '97, by 2-4" would actually help my MPG? I know alot of you have done a mild drop and MANY have a serious drop, but I dont like riding "high" for no reason. Thanks for any help/comments/ suggestions.

^^What he said. It will help to eliminate unnecessary drag, but you won't really see an noticeable MPG increase...maybe .3 MPG driving into a headwind...

About the only noticeable difference you will feel is the major improvement in handling capabilities. I can take an interstate exchange ramp at 75 mph now with very minimal body roll. Let's see one of those lifted boys do that.

I get decent mileage, even boosted and I have a mild drop, (but I look like a 4X4 next to pats truck)
