I've seen people report any where from 13mpg to 21mpg. I can tell you this, I wouldn't get a V6 F150 for the purpose of "hoping" to have a decent mpg daily driver. Why not get a car or something much more fuel efficient?

majority of V-6 trucks get worse mileage than the supercharged 5.4 trucks do

Ah, well that makes a bit more sense. Many will debate which model F150 gets better MPG, mainly between the 4.2L V6 and 4.6L V8 in our generation. I'm not gonna get into that. If you want to look into the V6, I'd try to find a regular cab, 2WD, short bed, V6 with the 5 spd. Are you sure you will be able to get by with a 2wd?

Also, why is your truck not driven in the winter?

I have seen everywhere between 12 and 23 miles per US gallon. Expect about 15 around town and 18 on the highway in cold weather on winter blend fuel.

Gas mileage sucks and i drive an hour to school each way and i cannot afford to have my truck and my car on the road at the same time. Plus where i live they salt the crap out of the roads and i dont my truck to get rusty.
