98 4.6 V8 Trans Help
Well my Trans is slipping a little and tommrow im going to drop the pan and replace the gasket and filter since i dont think it has been done
(truck has 188,000 Miles) and put new fluid in it but if i have to end up replacing trans would a M5OD bolt up to my 4.6 (with little mods) my truck
is a 4.6 2wd it has a 4R70W in it also where could i get one

Your trans will be a 4r70w.
If your trans is slipping now, with 180k + miles, and has never been serviced, it will get worse if you service now.
If that's the case, the grit and debris in the fluid now is what is allowing your transmission to function at all.
To see for sure what trans you have, on the passenger side will be a ID plate. Don't put cleaner on it like I did to clean the grease off, it will wipe off the numbers/letters.
