those with electric fan and flexalite controller

so im not a wiring genius, so i just want to confirm on the last 2 wires i need to finish up. i need to tap into the clutch controller, which i believe is right behind the passenger fenderwell, and then the ignition. where did you guys tie into ignition? and is there a best spot to put the thermometer? i just feel odd shoving that inbetween the fins. and any other tips are appreciated!

Stick the thermo right next to the return line. Pax side, high.

I tied my ignition into my radio. Ran a tiny 30- gauge from the ignition wire from my radio through the firewall and to my relay

I ran mine off the switched power on the back of my radio, to tell the controller to turn on. I tied into the a/c right next to the compressor, where you can take your pick +12v or ground but make sure you connect it to the right terminal at the controller.

gotcha, thanks. and i like the radio idea, or possibly out of the fuse block. these are the last 2 i need to connect, then the sensor and mount the fan. pretty damn excited

I think I ran power right off my battery, yes, I did! Sorry, and also tapped into the a/c at the fuse box, grey with white striped wire I believe. The thermister probe went gently between the fins, top pax corner. All works well for 5-6 yrs now. I have now the newest controller and is alot better than the previous where the tabs broke off.

Sorry, re-read, the key on ignition source, I picked up using a spare slot in the fuse box, easy to do.
