yeah you just take the big nut off and the fan and clutch come off and you dont have to pull the 4 bolts on the water pump at all.
i used a simple wire from batt with 30amp inline fuse to a switch to the E-fan. and i have an aftermarket temp gauge. when i see the temp get above 200 i flick it on and within 30 secs its back down to 180*
They make those fuse with the temp probes and sell them at autozone and just about anywere but i dont trust those relays heard to many storys about them going bad.
So i used a military rule. Keep it simple stuiped.

ive had the fan running for over 15 mins before with no probs at all.
yes relays are best but i dont trust them

Well he truck seems to run a little better between 2500 to 4000 rpms. I am a little conserned though. I drove it today about 200 mile and the truck blew a 0401 code (Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected). I'm assumimg it has to do with the gotts. I cleared the code with a code reader. Hope it was a fluke and doesn't come back.
Any Ideas guys?
