A lot of things have changed since i have been on here. truck got lifted.
I never sheared lugs on mine with the pony I put down and 35's, locks rear.
I already told you why they broke, they were over torqued.
is that the most commen why for them to come off? btw just to ler you guys know i barley know anything about cars/truck but im trying to learn to fix them on my own. its way cheaper also
Here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna buy the truck off of you for $200. You're going to in return go to the local walmart and buy yourself a nice Huffy with the $200. Then you won't have to worry about maintenance or anything. I'll even be nice and give you updates on the truck every now and then.
They were severly over torqued then add the offroading to that and blam they gave up. Like i said ive done things to my truck that you probably wouldnt think of doing and have not had all the lugs shear off... I have had a lug break (1) and i credit that to me over tightening it with the impact.
(True story) After finishing my SAS i put my tires and wheels back on and came up 1 lug nut short. So i figured it would be fine and said screw it ill pick one up later. Well my stupid self let it go for about a week maybe 2 well the vibrations from the 40" tires cause that lug to back out of its hole and catch on the u-joints in the front end (crappy dodge D60 always locked so everything spins), i was traveling approxamately 45 mph. Normally you would think that he u-joint spinning at that speed would break the stud and let it fall out without much of a notice. Negative i kept hearing tapping... very very loud tapping, thought it might have been a hub going out, well then it started getting louder and i could feel it though the truck, so i started slowing down, well somewhere between 35-40 MPH the lug pushed into the spinning u-joint skidding the truck to a stop, Now think about this, thats a truck with 115 pound tires going 35-40 mph stop in its tracks (it pushed me severly left since i couldnt hold the steering wheel.) This was the only time that i ever had an a dangerous problem with the truck and it was totally my fault. So now you can see just how strong 1 lug is. They are made to do a job and be installed a certain way, if they are not installed properly they can and will break easily.
Yes, in almost any situation the lugs snapping and shearing off would be the last thing to break.

No muddin. heres a list of what you should do. follow it in order
1. Trash that f'd up wheel
2. Call rimzone. tell them you need 1 new wheel of the same one you have. tell them they will need to custom drill THE NEW WHEEL THEY ARE GETTING FOR YOU to fit your bolt pattern.
3. wait on it to come in. put it on, good to go.
